The Studio: Designed With You in Mind
Meet Cami Thunder
I have been tattooing since 2020, following two decades as a graphic designer and art director. That long-term obsession with detail, balance, and composition is baked into every piece I create. My path here involved leaving a high-control religious background and reclaiming my life through art, craft, and radical empathy.
I operate on an AuDHD processing style: I am neurospicy, and I prioritize clear, grounded communication in everything I do.
Standard tattoo shops never felt right to me. The performative noise, high pressure, and lack of privacy are the opposite of what I wanted for myself or my clients. I built Reclamation Tattoo to be a quiet, private, and sensory-aware sanctuary where you don't have to mask or explain yourself.
For me, tattoos are more than just skin deep. They are markers of transformation, grief, celebration, and practical magic. I charge my distilled water under the full moon, I read tarot, and I pay attention | to the art, to the energy, and to the human in my chair.
Because of my history with religious trauma, I do not tattoo crosses or crucifixes. My studio exists outside of those systems as a space for autonomy and healing.
When I’m not tattooing, I’m deep-diving into art history, spooky shit, and politics. I am unapologetically anti-fascist. If that doesn’t align with your values, I am not the artist for you. I share my life with my family, three dogs, and a healthy dose of caffeine.
Whether you’re here for a piece with heavy symbolism or just something rad for your collection, I’m here to make sure the experience feels safe, steady, and entirely yours.
More than art…this space is part of the experience.
Reclamation Tattoo isn’t just about what goes on your skin, it’s about how you feel while you’re here. The studio is built to support neurodivergent, trauma-sensitive, and sensory-aware clients through every step of the process.
