The Vision
Reclamation Tattoo is partnering with Relic Apothecary to build a permanent home in Lakewood. This is a trauma-informed sanctuary for tattooing, oddities, and community. We’re creating a space where you never have to mask and your sensory needs aren't an afterthought.
Why Crowdfunding?
Bank funding is useless for businesses like ours. They're built for corporations and trust fund bros. Since the traditional financial system doesn't have a category for what we're creating, we're bypassing them.
We're also bypassing the major crowdfunding platforms. Kickstarter is built for product launches, not community spaces. GoFundMe is where you go when you have a medical bill, not a mission. Indiegogo exists, technically. All three take a cut of every dollar raised, layer on cumbersome systems that get between you and the people trying to support you, and some use all-or-nothing funding models that punish you for falling short. We'd rather every dollar you contribute go directly toward building this space. So we built it ourselves and kept it simple.

Our Team
Cami Thunder
Artist & Founder, Reclamation Tattoo
Cami spent years wondering why so many corporate and tattoo spaces felt wrong. They were loud, rushed, and crowded. After an AuDHD diagnosis gave her the language for what she had always known, she realized the world was not built for her. She decided to build something better instead.
Reclamation Tattoo is the result of that decision. It is a private, trauma-informed practice built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe in their own skin. Cami specializes in self-harm cover work and custom pieces. She brings a level of care to tattoo artistry that will change how neurodivergent people in Colorado experience body art.
Crystal Ehasz-Gray
Founder, Relic Apothecary
Crystal built her foundation in trades that demand toughness and precision. She spent years mastering construction and carpentry. These years taught her how to create something solid from nothing. She eventually brought that same grit into building something entirely her own.
Relic Apothecary is a handcrafted practice rooted in intentional herbalism and the belief that wellness should be accessible, weird, and deeply personal. Through Reclamation & Relic Tattoo & Apothecary, Crystal will bring her craft and her community knowledge into a permanent home where the work can finally grow.
The Reclamation Standard
The Reclamation Standard is a set of operational protocols built on one core belief: a tattoo studio should support your nervous system, not overwhelm it. We are expanding more than square footage. We are expanding the reach of intentional safety.
Sensory Control: Total client control over sound, lighting, and scent, including strictly unscented options.
Tailored Communication: Options for silent appointments or fully narrated sessions. No performance required.
Standardized Aftercare: Healing protocols and house-made apothecary balms that stay with you long after the session ends.

No. Reclamation & Relic is a small, independent business, not a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Your contribution is a direct investment in a community space, but it is not a tax-deductible donation.

Every dollar goes directly into the physical reality of the new space. This includes the lease security deposit, the construction of private sensory-safe rooms, soundproofing, and the apothecary buildout. We are using this to build the infrastructure that banks refuse to fund.

We are committed to making this expansion happen. If we do not hit our full crowdfunding goal, we will adjust the scale of the buildout or extend our timeline, but the funds will still be used toward securing a permanent home for Reclamation & Relic. Because these funds are put to work immediately for deposits and materials, we cannot offer refunds. Your support is an investment in the future of this space, and we will move forward with whatever resources we have.

Yes. If you have high-quality furniture, apothecary supplies, or décor that fits the Reclamation aesthetic, please send us a photo. We would much rather give a second life to great items than buy new ones.

We are currently in the phase of securing the lease and finalizing the buildout plans for the Lakewood location. While construction and permits can be unpredictable, we are aiming to open the doors of Reclamation & Relic in late 2026. We will keep every supporter updated through our newsletter and social media as the physical space takes shape.

Founding member stickers can be picked up in person at the current studio once the campaign concludes, or we can mail them to you if you are supporting us from a distance. Goodie bags are available for pickup at your next tattoo appointment at the current studio. Tattoo hour credits and service discounts will be redeemable as soon as we officially open the doors of the new studio in Lakewood. Those discounts and credits will be valid for one full year starting from our grand opening date.
