Original Mixed Media: Krampusnacht (Layered Relief)
This unique original is a multidimensional relic housed in a recycled thrift store frame. The piece is built from multiple layers of laser cut wood and hand cut acrylic creating a deep immersive scene of the winter shadow. Tucked within the depths of the frame are real black feathers adding a tactile organic element to the festive folklore.
Executed with my non dominant left hand during my recovery period this artwork features detailed hand painting in watercolor and wood stain alongside intricate pyrography. This is a substantial specimen for any collector of the dark and unusual. Because it is unshielded by glass the textures of the wood and feathers are front and center making it a literal fragment of a dark fairytale.
